Anyone can count workshops held. The only number that matters is whether someone is earning a year later, and whether we can show our working.
Each number below will be replaced with real data and the methodology used to collect it.
Two of these are real; two are honest gaps. We would rather print “not yet” than an unverifiable number, and we will replace each gap the moment there is something true to put there.
Written down before the numbers exist, so the standard cannot be quietly moved later.
We report income and employment status, not sessions delivered or kits distributed.
Not at course completion, which tells you nothing about whether the training worked.
X of Y enrolled, never X alone. A numerator without a denominator is not a statistic.
People we could not trace are counted as unknown, never quietly counted as success.
So anyone can interrogate how a number was produced, including people who disagree with us.
What did not work is more useful to us and more credible to you than a page of triumphs.
A funder who cannot handle a bad number is not a good long-term partner.
