Governance

Who is accountable, and how you can check

An organisation asking for trust and money should make it easy to verify who runs it, how it is registered, and where the money goes.

Accountability

What we publish, and what is still pending

Each item below will be replaced with verified detail. We would rather show a marked gap than an unverifiable claim.

Leadership

Board & leadership

Lakshmi Foundation was founded by Rakesh Ranjan and is run today by him with a small working group of trainers and volunteers. A wider board has not yet been constituted, and we will not list names here to look larger than we are. As members are appointed, each person’s name, role and date of joining will be published on this page.

Legal

Registration & status

Lakshmi Foundation is registered as a Section 8 company under the Companies Act, 2013. Our 12A, 80G and CSR-1 applications are in process. None of the three has been granted yet, and we will not imply otherwise.

Annual

Financial reporting

We have not yet completed a full reporting year, so there is no annual report or audited statement to publish. The first will be posted here once the year closes and the accounts have been audited.

Policy

Safeguarding & policies

Our written policies on safeguarding, grievance redressal, conflict of interest and data protection are being drafted and are not yet published. Until they are, any concern can be raised with us directly by phone, WhatsApp or email, and we will respond.

Method

Impact methodology

How we choose metrics, what we count, what we exclude, and how we report attrition and failure.

Giving

Donation handling

How contributions are received, receipted and reported, and the tax status that applies.

Why parts of this page are still empty. Publishing an unverified registration number or an invented board list would be worse than publishing nothing. These fields are marked so anyone reading can see exactly what has and has not been confirmed. Contact us if you need any of this detail before it appears here.

A funder who cannot handle a bad number is not a good long-term partner.

Ask us anything about how we operate.

We would rather answer a hard question than avoid it.
