What we ask
Reliability matters more than seniority.
The most valuable volunteer is not the most senior person in the room. It is the person who turns up when they said they would, month after month, for someone who has been let down before.
So we ask for a specific, bounded commitment rather than enthusiasm. An hour a month for six months is worth more to us than an open offer to help however we need.
- A defined time commitment you can actually keep
- Willingness to work with one person rather than an audience
- Comfort giving honest feedback, kindly
- No expectation of being called an inspiration
