We are a livelihood ecosystem rather than a training institute. Every programme is designed to end in an outcome, a job or a business, rather than at a certificate. Training is the first step, not the finish line.
No. Our programmes are built to start from what you can already do, including having no formal work experience, and to build toward a specific employment or enterprise outcome.
Courses are free for people who genuinely cannot afford to pay, and subsidised for everyone else. We ask about your situation when you apply, and we would rather have you in the room than turn you away over a fee. Message us on WhatsApp and we will tell you the fee for the specific course you are asking about.
Depending on the track you choose, you are connected either to our placement network for employer introductions and interview preparation, or to mentors, markets and early capital through the entrepreneurship track.
Our District Reach page carries the verified, current list. We report where we actually work rather than claiming state-wide coverage before it exists. The long-term goal is a working pathway in all 24 districts.
Yes. Alongside technical trainers we need mentors for career coaching, interview preparation, resume review and small-business guidance. A defined, time-bound commitment is more useful to us than an open-ended offer.
Each contribution is tied to a specific, trackable step, a training seat, a mentorship hour, or a placement outcome, and reported back honestly, including the parts that did not work.
Yes, through a dedicated Women and Livelihood track, alongside our general skill, employment and entrepreneurship programmes. The track exists because access barriers differ, not because the ability does.

Not yet. Lakshmi Foundation is registered as a Section 8 company under the Companies Act, 2013, and our 12A and 80G applications are currently in process. Until they are granted we cannot issue a tax-exemption certificate, and we would rather tell you that before you give than after. The registration numbers will be published here as soon as they are issued.
We track outcomes rather than activity: placements made, income change, and business survival past the first year, with a published methodology. Numbers appear on this site only once they are verified.
